Mike Godsey: the trail that goes to Wildcat Beach in Point Reyes is
the Stewart Ranch trail. It is actually a huge double-lane jeep
trail, which is frequented by horses and backpackers and bicyclists.
You are allowed to take horses and bikes all the way to Wildcat
Beach! The trailhead is Five Brooks, which is mid-way on Highway 1
between Bear Valley and Palomarin in the South. I would be very
surprised if you couldn't get a windsurfer down that trail quite
easily, given the right carrier. You might also be able to hire a
horse with trailer from the Stewart Ranch, which owns the horse
operation at the trailhead.
