I finally found source code for a tide program that runs under
UNIX. Consequently I now have a daily tide chart page on the web. See
http://crc.ricoh.com/~jackg/tide-charts.html. I'm generating charts for
Crissy, 3rd Ave, and Palo Alto, and taking requests for other sites. I
have data for most places in the bay area. I just hooked this up so I
hope it updates itself properly over the weekend.
If you sit at a UNIX workstation running X all day then I strongly
suggest looking at xtides
(http://case50.ncsl.nist.gov/xtide/xtide.html). I've replace xclock with
xtides on my desktop.
I've also updated my main windsurf page
(http://crc.ricoh.com/~jackg/windsurf.html), but the changes are mostly
cosmetic.
Ken, it would be interesting if you could correllate the observations
you receive with the data xtides generates.
