>how do you generate the sensor data into gif files IN THE BACKGROUND

Paul, you guys from SGI should be the specialists in graphics and know how to
do all that ! :)

I guess this is the tricky part. All the processing I am doing on KP's data is
done in the background on a PC, including creating the image files. So much in
the background that I forgot to restart it last night by the way...

Anyway, all my code creating the plots is in objective-C and display
postscript. one brings the power of objects and the other one good looking
graphics. I can give them to you but unless you have a computer running
NeXTSTEP or OPENSTEP, my programs won't be of any use.

What I can do to help is retrieve the raw data your friend would make
available on some site, add it to my database and generate the hourly graphs.
This is easy.
Or better Ken could add this new data to his mails.
