- The only reliable source for wind at Berkeley that I've found is the
COTW pager. The meter is right out on the pier at Berkeley, so it's
about as accurate as you can get unless the wind is from the west
( does this ever happen ? ) . This is the big reason I bought the
COTW stuff, I couldn't get any real good indicators for Berkeley
from the wind_report mailings. The pt. Blunt /Angel Isl. gives you
some idea of what it might be like, but is no good for telling
you how close the wind line is to shore.
