It's the metal bar on the front of your harness that has the hook.
(It's called a spreader bar because it distributes the pressure of
your weight to the outside of your hips.)

BTW, I initally wasn't sure where to tie the cord along the bar but
settled on wrapping it around both the hook and the main body of the
bar so that it wouldn't slip along the bar. However, I think any
place on the bar would have been fine. Once you're hooked in, you've
essentially connected the tow line directly to the harness line.

(Incidentally, kudos to anyone who can break down a rig at sea without
losing any pieces. I was knocked off my board twice just trying to
tie one simple knot.)
