Are you disgusted at work? Need a high-wind fix?
Well, you might want to consider calling in sick tomorrow and sailing
dawn-patrol at Rio....

Sherman conditions today: sailed from 6:30a- 11:00a on 3.6/8'3" gorge animal
(150#) fully powered to o.p. when the wind was cycling up. Big boys were
rigged on 4.0-4.5's. Tide was ebbing until noon. Swells were smooth, steep,
and up to chest high at times.... the most 'gorge' like I have seen Rio in a
few seasons.

If the valley heats up to the mid-90-'s as predicted and the fog stays in
thick (hasn't cleared over the berkeley hills yet), tomorrow should blow
somewhat like today (although your mileage may vary).
FYI when we hit the h20 at 6:30 the windtalker was reporting 14-31 avg. 21.,
but because of the ebb and river flow you can definitely rig at least a sail
smaller.

Chrissy Report - Monday.

Totally socked in with fog, and looked dead from shore. Couldn't see the
bridge or Marin side at times. Sailed 3:00-5:00p 5.0/8'3" powered on s.f. side
and o.p. on marin side. Rigged down 5:00p-7:00p sailed 4.3/8'3" powered on
s.f. and way o.p. on marin side. The marin 1/2 of the gate was blowing at
least a sail size smaller than s.f. side (angel is. reported gusts to 38).

Think DAWN PATROL!
