I stopped by Waddell at 4:30 yesterday to observe for about a half
hour. It had already dropped a bit from the peak of 29mph, but about
a dozen guys were still out (the lot was pretty empty), and all were
flying - saw a guy around 190 pounds derigging a 4.2. Consistent head
high sets, and occasional 8-10 foot faces. Saw one possibly mast high
wave.
I was on my way home, having driven down from a windless (at the time)
3rd via Half Moon Bay. There was no wind (10 knots or less) all the
way from Half Moon Bay to Pigeon Point, at which point it steadily
built till I hit Waddell. It was amazing how much the wind increased
over that 10 mile stretch.
