I sailed Rio (not sherman) tuesday late (4:30-6:00) and yes the direction was
correct, it was NNW, so... river runs (parallel to shore) at sherman, it was
blowing in the 30's when I arrived and the strange thing at sherman was the
chop was wind chop, since the wind was blowing from the North, the chop was
setting up perpendicular to the river! Very strange, anyways the jungle/windy
cove/glass beach were the spots to sail. Wind was gusty an backed off at 6:00
only to come up to the 20-25 range as we were de-rigging :{
