Big wind shadow indeed - the first 300 yards were pretty calm, but
heard that the channel was really happening when I got there about 5:30
- I chatted with a few friends for a while and wasn't going to go (it
was kinda grey and late). My friend (5.3/8'4) and I (5.9/9'0 - 190#)
decided to go even thought it was after 6. Had a great time on the
water until almost 8pm ! (everybody had left at least 1/2 hour earlier)
- I planed all the way back with not too much problem. I was
overpowered in the channel 1/2 the time.
