But don't you find that the SeaSafe is so large and clumsy and
takes up a lot of space?

Exactly so, but not a problem with Goretex. The whole point of the
Goretex material is that the microholes are smaller than a water
molecule in liquid state, but larger than a water vapor molecule.
That's why Goretex has the almost unique property of being waterproof
but breathable.
