I sailed Halfmoon Bay from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, and I certainly wasn't the
only one! Quite a croud for midday Wed. It was an excellent day, very
steady wind, and _lots_ of it! It probably was averaging around 30 for
most of the day. Most were on 4.0s - 4.5s, and everyone was sailing on
the overpowered side most of the time. I thought I would test out the
upper limits of my race sails, so I took a 5.7 Rushwind Race sail
(downhauled totally flat) with my 9'2" nonose, and managed to hold it
together for most of the 2 hours I was out. But I would have been much
better off with my 8'6"/5.0 combination. Squals would move through, and
it would really blow and rain, then it would settle back a bit. For
the most part, it really didn't rain that much. In fact, when I left
at about 4:00pm, the sun started to break through a little bit.

A great day, and _long_ overdue!

~Jim
