Subject: re: F C city council meeting
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to add my thanks, especially to Randy Anderson, Buck Lyons, Bill
Lennan, and Ralph Grundler. These 4 guys had prepared well thought out
and coordinated messages that complemented each other, and got the city
councils attention. They deserve our thanks for organizing all of us to
show up at the meeting. Many others (perhaps too many? it did seem to
get a bit repetitious...) also took the opportunity to add their voice
to ask for continued access, and thanks to them as well!

>From Bill (aka LafingGuy) Lennans note, it sounds like Buck and the folks
at Vela are taking the lead for putting together a proposal for the site.
I think that when the time comes to present a proposal to the city, it will
be important that we speak with one voice. I also think the turnout last
night shows how useful the net is in getting our voice heard. So I'd urge
Buck and the others at Vela (sorry, I didn't find out your names!) to use
the net to keep us informed as things progress, and build a consensus in
the windsurfing community behind proposals for improving the site.
