That's actually a really good point. 3rd is a terrific
intermediate/beginner spot under 5.5 conditions. But at around 4.0 it
becomes an out-and-out advanced spot, particularly if you are going to go
out to the channel. How do you communicate that effectively to people who
are likely to consider themselves qualified to sail 3rd based on limited
experience on a lighter day?
