It is a windsurfing-related mailing list, but it focuses on
local topics, mostly wind and sailing conditions around the
San Francisco Bay Area, local swap meets etc. The USENET newsgroup
rec.windsurfing is a much better forum for general discussions.
In fact, Ken Poulton created this list primarily to reduce the amount
of clutter on rec.windsurfing. Most of the subscribers to this list
are also regular readers/posters to r.w. and use that group for any
communication that deserves a wider audience. ---Luigi
