Just thought I would let the list know about Windsight's new
software for the Bay Area. They are installing sensors at all the
key sailing sites that give minute-by-minute readings (peak and
average). The software graphs all of the minute-by-minute readings
for the last 8 hours! I just got the software and it looks awesome!
A lot of the sensors are not working right yet, but I see incredible
potential for the concept. I have the same software for the Gorge,
and it gives you a whole new dimension on where the wind is good
when you can view peak and average, as well as the minute-by-minute
trend over several hours.
This is the kind of value-added data service I have really wanted
for a long time. Call Micro Forecasts for details: 800-934-2278
I'm not affiliated with them, but I do want to see them get enough
users that they expand and improve the service.
