Oh, right, I have Data.

SF Buoy (off the GG) in August 93:
column = air sea
n = 230 229
min = 53.2 55.2
max = 64.4 1015
sum = 1.323e+04 1.439e+04
mean = 57.54 62.82 <----
sdev = 1.979 63.21
frac_sdev = 0.0344 1.006
var = 3.918 3996
corr = 0.0627

In December 93:
column = air sea
n = 208 208
min = 40.6 52.3
max = 57.4 55.9
sum = 1.065e+04 1.124e+04
mean = 51.21 54.02 <----
sdev = 3.568 1.012
frac_sdev = 0.06968 0.01873
var = 12.73 1.024
corr = 0.5791

August was the warmest month for the sea temp.
I'd rather look at HMB buoy, but that was down all summer.

Bodega Bay was down to 49 F mean sea temp in July!
It's now at 54 F, so the summer upwelling theory seems to hold
up there. Maybe the Bay flows change that for the GG buoy.
