I just came back from crissy (quite a drive from Mt View for after work
sailing) and it was pretty good 5.5 weather. I was originally planing to
drive to Candle Stick, but noticed that there was absolutely no wind around
5pm, even though the airport was reporting 20knts from south-west. So I
took the plunge and drove to crissy field (I usually go to 3rd ave since it
is much closer from work). There was about 30 sailors on the water, most of
them fully powered. I ended up rigging a 5.9 because around 6pm the wind
got weaker, and sailed until 7:30 with no problem. Look like it was bout
5.3 weather earlier on....
