Professional Interests

I manage a group of integrated circuit designers in the Mixed-Signal Electronics Department of Agilent Labs. I've been designing data conversion chips at Agilent Labs (formerly HP Labs) since 1980, using GaAs MESFET, GaAs HBT, silicon bipolar, SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS technologies. Along the way, I do a lot of CAD tool work.

I am a founding member of Palo Alto Fiber Network, which is a volunteer organization of residents working to bring fiber to the home networking to Palo Alto.

I am an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 52 in Palo Alto.

Unprofessional Interests:

I like to windsurf and kitesurf. A lot. (My sail number is actually USA 411.)

I provide weather data and mailing lists for windsurfers and kitesurfers.
